Prompt: "As I stared into the water it began to turn green"

Scared

As I stared into the water it began to turn green. My muscles tensed and my head became a spinning top. I could hear the crowd screaming. I looked up and saw reds, greens and blue. Butterflies flapped in my stomach. My shiny swimming cap made my ears ache. The goggles were fastened around my eyes, they made my temples throb. I bent down onto the block and my back ached like a whale. As I drew my hands to the pool, cold water splashed in my pale red face. Anything could happen… I was at the olympics.

Scared of the pool

...as i stared into the water it turned green…

I was at the olympics representing America and suddenly my name gets called, people are screaming my name. I walk up to the starting block. Thump, thump, thump my heart is pounding in my chest. I stare into the endless water and suddenly it turns green, then blue and soon I am swaying back and forth. I can't feel my legs and I start falling forward ¨Is this the end?” I thought as I blacked out, just before I hit the water.
